Our Vicar

Jon is married to Bethan with two children - Esme and Reuben.

Having worked in business and as a Policeman, Jon spent five years as a Regional Staffworker with the Universities and Colleges Chritsian Fellowship (UCCF) before training at Oak Hill Theological College in London. He then served his curacy in Lindfield before becoming Rector of Maresfield and Vicar of Nutley in April 2007.

Outside of the parish Jon continues to speak regularly at University Christian Unions. He is also one of the organisers of the Sussex Evangelical Ministry Seminars and sits on the training committee of the Sussex Gospel Partnership, of which he is a member.

Jon enjoys squash, films, the outdoors, and his family - but not in that order! His greatest desire however is to see people come to follow Jesus and have his word the Bible inform and transform every sphere of their lives. In moving to Maresfield and Nutley he is therefore particularly keen to develop the churches in a way that is accessible to those unused to church, that engages families and young people and that in time might promote Christ in the wider Uckfield area.
